The Book Thief trailer. Quick, read the book first!!
Happy Friday everyone! Have you seen the first movie trailer for the movie adaptation of The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak?
Here it is! I know I'm definitely going to see The Book Thief in theaters. Are you? Be sure to read the book because we all know the universal truth that THE book is better than the movie, right?
I myself haven't read the book, but my mother and sister both rave about it. I watched the trailer and you would have loved the reaction my sister had when she saw it herself! Have you read "The Messenger", the sequel to "The Book Thief" ?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was a sequel to The Book Thief! I've read The Messenger which is a sequel to The Giver though, does that count? You must read The Book Thief so that you can see the movie with your mom and sister.
DeleteOops, I gave you the wrong name for the sequel. It is "I am the Messenger".It isn't a "sequel", it's kind of like in the Giver series where the first two books don't completely match up but have a similar theme. (A question about this book was on your survey, how could you not know!). I think that fate has decided that I will read the book before the movie, as it turns out my family is reading it out loud together! One thing I don't like though about the movie is that it seems that Death isn't narrating. Personally I think they could've found someone like Cate Blanchett or Ian McKellen to do Death's voice, I mean, the person wouldn't even have to act! They could just do a voice over!
